NEHEMIA Aid Organization Austria

The NEHEMIA Aid Organization belongs to the Action Committee for Persecuted Christians (AVC) which has its headquarters in Germany (in Nidda). It is a branch of the Freie Christengemeinde (Pentecostal Church) in Austria. We have had this branch office in Salzburg since 1995. It is the concern of the AVC and NEHEMIA to pass on the gospel of Jesus Christ to individuals and people groups who are either unreached or barely reached. With evangelistic outreach, church planting and social ministries (e.g. children's homes, homes for the elderly, children's sponsorship programs, schools, disaster aid, etc.) we are helping people in over 50 countries of the world.

  OUR FOCUSES

Georgia

  • 10 evangelists and pastors are supported on a regular monthly basis. They work in existing churches and are starting new projects in areas as yet unreached.
  • A "mother and child initiative” was set up in January 2007 in Tbilisi, where single mothers are taken in and cared for; the children are also given help with their schoolwork.
  • Churches receive support by means of seminars and training (e.g. leadership training, seminars for worship groups and choirs, etc.)
