History How it all began
The NEHEMIA Christian Aid Ministry arose out of the work of the AVC. It was founded as an aid organization in 1990 and has been taking care of many needy people ever since. The NEHEMIA Christian Aid Ministry is recognized as a “non-profit-making” / “charitable” organization

Since it was founded, NEHEMIA has been helping people all over the world in many different ways. We cover a broad spectrum of activities. From orphanages and children’s homes to kindergartens and schools, children’s sponsorship programs, work among street children, feeding the poor and soup kitchens, drug rehabilitation centers, education for those at risk of addiction, prison work, delivery of aid supplies and disaster aid, to name but a few.
In doing so, we, as committed Christians, allow ourselves to be led by the basic principle of Christian love and compassion. Aid is given irrespective of a person's beliefs or background. For years, NEHEMIA has had a successful cooperation with the Department for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany in the area of disaster aid.
Neediness in the world is not getting any less, it is increasing. As long as the need exists, so does our responsibility to help. The work can only be accomplished by many people working together. NEHEMIA wants to do its part. We would be pleased to have you partnering with us.
NEHEMIA now works in almost 50 countries of the world every year. In cooperation with the AVC, more than 80 countries of the world have received aid and support since it was founded.
